AYM MISSION: Ascension Youth Ministry (“AYM”) encourages and strengthens the young people of Ascension by empowering them to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, drawing them into full participation in the Catholic faith community, and fostering their personal and spiritual growth. We seek to love God and make God’s love known through prayer, example, hospitality, teaching, and enthusiastic outreach within a comprehensive parish youth ministry.

Hi! My name is Sara Horstman, and I am so excited to be the Youth Ministry Coordinator at Ascension. I grew up at Ascension, graduating in 2001, and couldn't be happier to be back working with the youth. I look forward to helping the youth develop and grow both personally and spirituality, create lasting relationships, and provide them with a venue where they can fully and freely express themselves and their faith.

I graduated from Assumption in 2005 and from Bellarmine University in May of 2009. I am currently working on my Master of Arts in communication at Bellarmine, and am also working part time as a medical receptionist.
