SCHOLASTIC SPRING BOOK FAIR
Books Bring Us Together!
Monday, May 16th – Friday, May 20th
Open during school hours.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to have parent lunches or be open for parents to shop in person. Online shopping is also available with free shipping for orders over $25.00.
The PTO will generously purchase one book up to $5.00 for each of the preschool and junior kindergarten students.
Ewallet is available to use as payment at the Book Fair. Ewallet is a safe, cashless way for students to shop, just set up a free account, and add funds. Any funds remaining on ewallet after the book fair can be used at the Scholastic Store Online.

Checks and cash will also be accepted as payment.
You can make a list of books and send it in with your child along with payment. We will send the books home with your child.

THE 8TH GRADE LONGHORN LEADER GROUP IS RAISING MONEY ON BEHALF OF THE ASCENSION CLASS OF 2022!
As a way for the 8th grade class to “leave their mark” here at Ascension, they will be collecting donations to raise money for a new gaga pit for the future students of Ascension. All donations will go towards the new gaga pit and any extra money raised will go to a charity of the 8th Grade’s choice! Our goal is $1000 and construction of the gaga pit will begin over the summer.
But wait, there’s more! For every $100 reached, a different teacher will be pied at an end of the year celebration! Please bring in your money to the office for Ms. Hoehler to collect by Friday May 20th.
Get your throwing arms ready to throw some pies and play some gaga ball!
ACE DAY
A.C.E. stands for Ascension Classes of Enrichment! It will be on May 25 from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Students will choose sessions that interest them.
The ACE team is still looking for a few more presenters. If you would be willing to lead a 45 minute session or know someone who could, please let us know. (Any hobby, talent, skill, activity, game…) The age group and number of students is up to you.
We are also looking for parent volunteers to help on this day. They will be needed to help assist presenters, supervise students, help students and presenters find their sessions. If you are able to help, please sign up,

Did you know that Ascension is a Box Tops school? During this challenging time, our teachers and students need more help than ever. No matter what school looks like, Box Tops for Education is a fast and easy way for you to help out from home.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your school’s earnings online. Even if you’re shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your e-receipts and earn Box Tops. Twice a year, our school gets a check!
The PTO uses money earned from Box Tops to fund our iPad program and other classroom needs for our students!

REMINDER
Student’s who are absent should be phoned in or emailed to Ms. Thomas by 8:15am. There is a 24 hour message system for you to phone in absences, 451-2535 ext. 22.
Also, it is very important that your child/ren arrive at school on time daily! Students should be in their class and chair by 7:55am. If your child is late, you must come in to sign them in. Thank you!
