As we close out one of the craziest school years, I would like to invite you to a school wide celebration! We have not had many opportunities to celebrate as a school this year. On the last day of school, please join us for our first ever Last Day of School Tailgate! Leave carpool and circle back to the front lot. Park your decorated car, open the trunk to your snacks, and let’s celebrate! Teachers can join and receive their end of the year gifts! Parents can see each other and kids can eat snacks. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CAMP & SIGN-UPS/TRY-OUTS FOR GIRLS ENTERING GRADES 3-8 FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR!
We are very excited to announce the return of Ascension girls volleyball following this past year’s cancellation due to Covid! Please see information below regarding an optional camp and mandatory tryouts.
Ascension Girls (Free) Volleyball Camp (Grades 3-8)

3rd-4th grade: 5:00pm – 6:00pm
5th-6th grade: 6:15pm – 7:15pm
7th-8th grade: 7:30pm-8:30pm
PURPOSE: The purpose of this optional camp is to provide an introduction/review of the game of volleyball depending on each athlete’s skill level. Foundational skills and technique development will be covered. The camp will allow an opportunity for athletes to determine if volleyball is a sport that may be interested in playing as well as provide an opportunity to practice prior to try-outs.

ASCENSION’S ADULT KICKBALL LEAGUE 2021!
Games will take place on Friday evenings on Ascension’s football field.
1st game will be Friday, June 4th
No games July 2nd
Tournament date July 9th
Entry fee is $100 per team.
Winning team will receive a rotating trophy!
Minimum of 10 players per team.
Must be 21 years of age. Must have equal number of women and men OR more women than men. Captain must be an Ascension parishioner.

ASCENSION SUMMER MATH CAMP
It’s free-of-charge and open to all Ascension students who will be entering Gr’s. 6, 7 & 8 in the fall.
For the 7th straight year it will be instructed by our in-house volunteer math tutor and teacher’s aide, Mr. John Amback.
There are no tests, quizzes, grades or homework!
Each grade level has 7 one-hour sessions that are designed to both review and preview the upcoming year. The sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of July beginning July 6 and ending July 27. Gr. 6 is from 8:30am-9:30am, Gr. 7 is from 9:30am-10:30am and Gr. 8 is from 10:30am-11:30am.
Knowing that July is filled with appointments, vacations, camps, etc., 100% attendance is not required. Just let Mr. Amback know if your student is going to miss more than one or two sessions.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is July 19th-21st, 2021! For those entering PK-5th grade next school year.
Join us for a 3-day adventure as we discover God’s greatest treasure-us! Each day will be an adventure through Bible stories, games, gadgets, song and dance as we praise God! VBS will take place in person, we will observe social distancing and masks during the duration of our VBS time together. Volunteers of all ages are needed in many areas: crafts, games, snacks, music, group leaders, and storytelling. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your school’s earnings online. Student’s who are absent should be phoned in or emailed to Ms. Thomas by 8:15am. There is a 24 hour message system for you to phone in absences, 451-2535 ext. 22.
Also, it is very important that your child/ren arrive at school on time daily! Students should be in their class and chair by 7:55am. If your child is late, you must come in to sign them in. Thank you!
