We will have practice/evaluations this Sunday 1/8/23, at 6pm at the St X Natatorium.
This swim season we will practice on Sundays from the dates of 1/8-2/19. 2/25/23 is the CSAA swim meet date, so please add that to your calendar. I will get you further details when I have them.
When: Sundays 1/8-2/19 6pm-7pm
Where: St X Cornelius E. Hubbuch Natatorium 1609 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, 40217
Additionally, your swimmer will need a swim suit, goggles, and a towel.

Welcome back; we are so excited for great things in 2023!
I hope you all enjoyed time with your loved ones, friends and neighbors, celebrated the birth of Jesus, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and are as ready for the new year as we are.
The first reading from the Book of Numbers this past Sunday, says, The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord let his face shine down upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace. While listening to this, I was reminded of a traditional Irish blessing, which as a Mullaney was committed to memory from a very young age: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
With these bouncing around in my head, I started the yearly ritual of setting my new year’s resolutions. Upon reflecting about my goals for the year, I realized how often I tend to leave God out of my planning in the sense that I depend solely on myself to achieve or not achieve. The reading and blessing, still fresh in my mind, moved me to remember God has all of us in the palm of his hand – if I lean into Him, He will lean into me and meet me where I am: prayer, way more often.
My wish for all of us, specifically in our Ascension community, is for us to remember God has us! All we have to do is lean in and accept His invitation. More prayer, attending mass and community gatherings will strengthen us and guide us to achieving our goals.

Did you know that Ascension is a Box Tops school? During this challenging time, our teachers and students need more help than ever. No matter what school looks like, Box Tops for Education is a fast and easy way for you to help out from home.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your school’s earnings online. Even if you’re shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your e-receipts and earn Box Tops. Twice a year, our school gets a check!
The PTO uses money earned from Box Tops to fund our iPad program and other classroom needs for our students!

REMINDER
Student’s who are absent should be phoned in or emailed to Ms. Thomas by 8:15am. There is a 24 hour message system for you to phone in absences, 451-2535 ext. 22.
Also, it is very important that your child/ren arrive at school on time daily! Students should be in their class and chair by 7:55am. If your child is late, you must come in to sign them in. Thank you!
