Please RSVP to me if you plan on attending so I can order enough pizza! Kids are always welcome!
A little homework: Think of 1 event, function, you think we should try to add to our schedule for next year that your family and other Ascension families will love!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR ASCENSION SWIM TEAM!
Ascension swim team members are Jules Church and Ian Beierle. They competed in a meet on March 2nd at the Ralph Wright Natatorium on the U of L Campus. Ascension finished 16th out of 21 schools while scoring 37 points. A pretty amazing accomplishment for having such a small team. The only other two person team (SAA) scored 9 points. Ascension also out pointed St. Edward, St Stephen Martyr, St Raphael and St Paul, most all of whom fielded teams with double-digit numbers of competitors.
Even though they said we are a high school, still very awesome! Thanks to Mrs. Wagner, Mrs. Jackel, Mrs. Vogt and Ms. Gatewood for putting this club together and working with our students.

We have a few openings in our Three-year-old Preschool class for the upcoming school year (2019-2020). We would love for you to be a part of our Ascension School Family! Through guided play and exploration your preschooler will build their love for learning as well as develop important and vital social and emotional skills that will be carried with them throughout their academic career and beyond. Students will begin the process of learning their letters, numbers, writing names and engaging in the world around them to continue to foster their creativity. We begin faith formation by attending mass, discussing God’s creation and fostering a sense of community by participating in service projects. If you want to be a part of this please call to schedule a tour.

ASCENSION SUMMER CAMP
We are gearing up for a fabulous summer! We had a great time last summer and plan to schedule this summer in a similar fashion. We will have two “off campus” days: Monday we will be swimming at Upper Highlands and on Wednesdays we will be heading out on a field trip. We will be doing team rotations on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for our “on campus” days. During the rotations we will be doing a Top Chef class, Organized Group Games, Music, Drama, Reading and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). We should keep your kiddos busy and enjoy their summer at camp!
The first day of summer camp is tentatively scheduled for June 5th, barring any snow days.
If you enroll for the entire summer, you will be granted one vacation week. Registration will be open to Ascension families only, until February 15th. After that, open spots will be offered to community families. We do not anticipate any openings after that point, so please be sure to get your paperwork turned in on time!!! The paperwork was emailed to all Ascension families on February 4. If you can not find the paperwork, please email Rachel Skaggs at email@example.com.
